Hello guys/girls, I have been out of the hobby for roughly two years and in that time I've moved home so I no longer have my fish room. I do however have a perfect spot for a 4x2x2 aquarium but this is far smaller than I'm used to. My question is what should I stock it with? I am wondering if i'd be happy with such a small tank and if its worth getting tbh so any suggestions would be appreciated. My main concerns are that I would grow tired of a small community and without the option to switch fish around I would be stuck with its stock. thank you in advance

Welcome to MFK ☺

If you would list what you like Cichlids, Non Cichlid, or Oddball's for example.

Welcome :)

What do ya like? As tlindsey tlindsey said if we know what you like we can give you good suggestions :)

Sounds like a wet pet tank. Like Midas, Trimac, guttulatus. Or since you can only have one tank, maybe go all out fully planted with some acaras and live bearers or barbs maybe a zebra pleco. Just pick things that pop color.

In that tank I'd say oddballs are the best. Polypterus can work well there!

I would either do a "Wet pet" big solo cichlid -female festa, chili red oscar, so many choices here. Or a biotope for a smaller breeding pair of like marble red cons, jewels, any cichlid that gets to about 6in or so.

One male midas, a big syno, some big barbs and ramshorn or giant trumpet snails.
