Umm its the length thats the probelm but i think it would be good for a jar, asian or black not silver due to length.

blacks get just as big as silvers, they grow slower though.

that should hold an arowana for a good amount of time, but not for life.

my freind had a tank near the same as the 4x4x4 cube it was a bit to small even for an asian red fully grown

isnt the minimum size tank for an aro 4x2x2 , so i think is one is ok

A tank 4' x 2' x 2' is way to small for a fish that will be over half the length of that tank. But there are many idiots who do practice this. IMO you could keep an asian or jar in the 4' x 4' x 3' tank. I supose a silver or black could just swim in a circle though.
