If you saw my 300 gallon indoor project, I also just finished a 5,000 gallon Koi pond as part of a pool install.

7' deep - 6' X 20' apx.
Pictured sand filter is filled with sinking K1 bio media.

So far maintenance consists of back washing the filter once a week.

Fish are still babies at 8-10" long. Cant wait until they are 2'+ monsters. Nothing special on fish quality. just "pond koi" not "show koi"

Water quality pics speak for themselves I think. Pond was built last summer, cycled empty for 6 months and had fish in it for about 3 months now.
Still need to get working on the landscaping around it now.

I'll update as the fish get bigger and I finish the landscaping.

Very nice! Can you share pix of the pool and spa too?

It's still a work in progress with LOTS of landscaping and low voltage lighting to do

Pool has a very cool auto clean system that use pop-up jets all long the bottom and sides that sweep all debris down into a central drain with a catch bag up by the skimmers. Zero work and no silly robot swimming around in the pool and getting broken.
