Sooooooooo... what I'm doing now is I took most of the shorter plants from the 29 gallon (the 29 gallon is going to have ALL live plants eventually) and put them in the 5.5, so it's heavily planted. I'm going to pick up a sponge for the intake on my HOT filter (I have a 5-15 gallon rated filter for a 5.5 gallon tank... it'll keep things lively... lol) and I'm thinking about getting 3-4 of those little puffers and feeding them a diet of mostly bloodworms.

Kind of a micro-habitat... I'll get pics as soon as possible...

What do you guys think?

i think it would be an ok puffer tank......not for three or four though.....more like a pair............i hear they are pretty aggresive..........

Interesting. The guy at the LFS said that 3-4 would be just fine... course, he IS probably just trying to make a sale. Maybe a single one would be better... I just thought that having 2 would create a dominance/submissive-type situation. Probably can't put anything else in there with it, right?

from what i've read/heard about them i would say no but i have personally never kept them.............but you could always do a pair that would be cool.......they are a very interesting little puffer though..........

yea that would be cool.......i bet you could even have some bottom feeders like corys............but yea a puffer with an oto would look real cool as a aquascaped tank........
