Oahu Grown!
Im looking into picking up a 5-6" motoro and adding him into my 125gal grow out along with 3 x 2" Pbass and 2" datnoid and 3.5" silver aro. Will all the other fish be okay? or wil there be a good chance that someone will get eaten? and about how long will he last in my 125gal?

eh you should be... those pbass might become food...

aro is least of problems....dat will use its spikes... the pbass are my concern... why not wait a few months for the ray? give everything a chance to get some more size on it... or go for some small retics

i got the peacock bass in a 30gal grow out as of right now along with the dat. only the aro and guppies are in the 125gal. So the 2" datnoid will be fine in there with the ray or should i leave him in the 30gal with the pbass also? how big should i wait for them to get before adding them with the ray? and how long will the ray last in my 125gal? 72x18x24? thanks Nic

motoro fed properly wont last long at all maybe 1.5 years... ive had rays get to 12" in a years time... retics on the other hand or if money esnt a real object hystrix from aquascape would be better... retics are slow growers and hystrix dont get very big either...

The aro should be fine but i'd wait on moving the dat and pbass with the motoro.. They are still small enough to become food for the ray

thanks nic

I tried a similar thing, ray was about 12" and pbass were close to 4". Lost 6 azuls, enough said.

Good Luck,
