can house any of them as babys, full grown no. the smallest is jardini with a max size of 2ft and realistic minimum tank size of 6x3x2. silvers and blacks get 3ft, as do africans and asians eventually.
have a look at Xenomystus nigri these top out at 8 inch and look similar to aro.
they get 35 inch, most slow right down at 18 inch and extremely slow at 2ft but live for 50 years and will continue to head towards 3ft throughout that time, if you plan on keeping one for the long hall its better to save for a big tank in the 8x3 range and get a nicer quality fish, a nice red or gold.
