Somewhere lost
what would be good to keep in a 5 gallon salt water tank this is my first time doing a salt water tank so I want to start small to get the hang of it then go bigger as I get better at it

Some gobys or hermit crabs are suitable for a tank that size. maybe look into crabs and gobys a little further.

actually smaller tanks are way harder because they have less water ....bigger is better and actually really nothing could go in a 5 gallon..the only thing you could put in there is corals...i wouldnt go with a 5 gallon tank

I agree. Go for a 20 because you will have more freedom and it will be easier. A 100 gal. would be easier to manage and many will recommend them to beginners but is unreasinable to expect beginners to go so big. Go for a 20 and you will be happier all the way around.

I only have a 5 gallon and dont have the money atm I am having the fish bought for me I have to save up for a tank already for my o and jd but I am trying to sell my horses to get the money once I get money I want to get a 180 gallon and have it a salt water tank

Then maybe you should wait. That way, all of your resources can go into buying filtration, live stock, etc., for the tank you really want.

Once I find someone to take the horses for how much I am asking I have enough for both tanks and have some money left over which hopfuly it will happen soon

You'd most likely find that any fish you could possibly put in a five gallon would be eaten by the fish in your 180!

Well I was planing on upgrading the o which is in a 20 and the jd in a 10 would have been together but the jd took some of my o's scales off so I want the o to get the same size or bigger to try it again or when I get the 90 put them in it together but use something to seperate so they get use to seeing eachother then try it and turn the 20 and 10 into salt also then get a 180 and add fish to that but leave whats in the 10 and 20 there
