I'm not a Geophagus pro..... but I think they're Geophagus Surinamensis.

Real surinamensis are about as rare as beani were about a year ago. They are more then likely G. altifrons or something simular out of Brazil. G. surinamensis are collected only in a few selected spots outside Brazil in French Guiana and Suriname but I'm not sure if anybody besides a few Europeans have collected there in the past decate since it is really hard to get a collecting permit and export anything out of those countries. BTW Sean these are not the ones I sold. Very nice fish none the less and anybody that is looking for some should jump on those since they do not come around that often at these sizes.
