5 inch senegal bichir food

just got this guy 2 days ago and wanted to know what should i be feeding him. i just gave him some small pieces of raw market shrimp and he ate it anything else i could give him

bloodworm,pellets,earthworms,beefheart, and such basically most if not all meaty food.

You can feed it the same foods as you ould a full sized bichir,however the offered food
needs to be cut to an easily edible size the bichir.
the following should be easily found at your lfs.
mysis shrimp
brine shrimp
krill
bloodworms
tubifex worms
squid
beefheart
Simply thaw and feed
also mix a good quality pellet into the mix you may need to cut them but its easil done with a single edge razor blade-Anne

I feed my 4 incher omega one shrimp pellets. He gets feeders too sometimes. Just started him on pollack fillets tonight.

I feed my Senegal Hikari sinking carnivore pellets, he loves them, as do all my other fish.

My senegal started growing real quick when I started feeding him dillies. Do you call them the same thing in the USA? Dillies over here are like tiny frozen white bait fishes.....my 2 polys go mental for them....!!
