channa orientalis gets to about 6" and bleheri 6"-8" i don't think there is anything smaller,also true orientalis is very hard to get hold of here in UK anyhow
The short answer is no.
However, there are a couple that you might consider.
The closest to that size limit is the C. bleheri at about 5 1/2" max, next come the C. cyanospilus and the C. panaw, both about 7".
After that you have the gachua,harcourtbutleri,maculata,nox,and asiatica, all of these reach around 8".
I have not kept them, just used the (usually reliable) fishbase data base. In this case they, and I were wrong. By checking the USDA and Chinese Aquaculture data bases I found that the C. Asiatica actually gets to around 34 cm. or 14". Sorry.
