is there a snake head that small?

i didnt :(

channa orientalis gets to about 6" and bleheri 6"-8" i don't think there is anything smaller, also true orientalis is very hard to get hold of here in UK anyhow

The short answer is no.
However, there are a couple that you might consider.
The closest to that size limit is the C. bleheri at about 5 1/2" max, next come the C. cyanospilus and the C. panaw, both about 7".
After that you have the gachua, harcourtbutleri, maculata, nox, and asiatica, all of these reach around 8".

my asiatica is already 8" and still growing took anout 6 months to get to this

I have not kept them, just used the (usually reliable) fishbase data base. In this case they, and I were wrong. By checking the USDA and Chinese Aquaculture data bases I found that the C. Asiatica actually gets to around 34 cm. or 14". Sorry.
