5 posts before my life or death questions for my oscars can be answered,
go fish. I am sure that someone on this site could have answered my
questions before I made 5 posts. Nice policy- I still have one Oscar left.

Your info on the left says you have only made 2 posts and yet I see your rant quite clearly. The only restriction I'm aware of for newbies is posting/viewing pictures. Did this question of your somehow include pictures? Sorry I missed any previous posts you may have made but many of us have differant schedules and are not all on line at once.
If youd care to describe your problem or at least reask your question I'll see what I can do to help.

I went back and found the other post and found it quite confusing. We need a LOT more information about the problem....Tank size...water peramitors...temp...PH ECT. to even begin to guess the problem.

Other than red slime algee or an infestation of live worms I can't think of anything like your describing. Hopefully with a little more information someone whos had some expierance with this can give you a hand.

The board also has a handy search feature that allows you search our MASSIVE archives for information. Just click on the link under the M...

Yep, the 5 post rule is only to get access to viewing photos. Help is available from post 1!

Like Wolf said, much more info is needed to get accurate advice.
Tank size, how long set-up, filtration, water change regime, ammonia, nitrIte, nitrAte etc.

As far as the floating fungus is concerned, my best guess would be overfeeding and leftover pellets rotting in the tank. Followed by the resulting ammonia poisoning killing your fish.
