Got a chance to get a 5" Royal for a great price. Is it going to be a problem if he is only in my acrylic tank for a month or two til I get another tank set-up for him?

Well.. I wouldnt let any pleco near a acrylic tank...

Thanks guys and gals.

I'm hoping Santa comes through....

I've never seen any of my Royals sucking on the sides of the tank. I don't think it'll be a problem either.

Mine do. Just look at their teeth, they are designed to gouge material. Its a risk.

My 10 inch Royal ruined my 90 hex that I had years ago. He was the only pleco in there along with a lot of medium size barbs. My neice has large watermelon in her 70 acrylic with no promblems for a couple of years now. I myself wouldn't risk it.

Gonna risk it, I got him.

Hopefully the wood, rocks, and plants will keep him off the tank walls.
