Bringing home my 50/50 californian king snake today! hes on fuzzys right now, shed twice, and is an absolute beauty!! il post pix asap. never kept a king - any advise? i know all the usuals; cant keep it with other snakes etc etc, but if anyone has succesfully kept theses magnificent snakes to adulthood, then any info would be greatly appreciated

they require the same care as any other snakes although some calis dont like handling they will bite and musk you ,I have one like that so hes a look but dont touch cali some are handled and conditioned well it really depends on the previous owner .
they like to hide i use found bark that has a nice bend to it i feed mine 2 or three fuzzys at a time rather then a full grown mouse he seems to prefer this,also they take frozen very easily so live mice isnt needed ,i dont like feeding anything that can hurt my snakes .

kings have been mistaken for rattlers because they behave in the same manner rattling their tails they have a bad rep for being viscous because they eat other snakes the guy in the reptile store was scared of mine .
