50/50 fry

Wow, those pics are almost good enough to be in a bigfoot sighting. . . But I honestly have no idea except to say that juvenile color/patterns can change dramatically when they get older. Are you sure the parents are from different stock, is it possible they're related?

Sorry about the pics. I was just trying to show color difference
The parents are not related but that would not make fry 2 colors anyway
they are not changing color. From very small fry, half the batch was yellow and the other half were brown like regular peacocks.
 
sunrise peacocks are hybrids which means you couldn't possibly know the outcome of what the fry will look like though... but they're good lookin anyways. congrats on the fry.
 
And after about 2 weeks there were clearly 3 colors of babies. I had orange,pink, and regular peacock babies. Every batch since they have been 3 colors.

Here is one of the babies all grown up. They all came out nice.

I really like the yellow and blue little polka dots on his fins, It's beautiful.
