ok guys im going to make a 50 gal acrylic tank need some advise though it is going to be 40x18x16 i have 1/2'' cell cast for the sides and front and back and what i was wondering is do u think it would hurt to use 1/4'' cell cast for the bottom

I know it doesn't equate because your talking acrylic, but I have a glass 3'x3'x2' aprox 130 gal. It has 1/2 sides with 1/4" tempered bottom.
ya i dont see why it wouldent work cause most of the load would be the sides the bottom would be on a stand any more ppl want to coment
