50 Gal Frag

Hello poly enthusiasts!

I was curious to know about how many adult Senegal or Marble Bichir could fit in a 50 Frag/ Low Boy tanks? First time keeping, and want to do it right!

Low boy tank height is about 10”, therefore, only about 8-9” of water with the substrate height. It’s low for subadults, but would be fine for a growout tank. Housing smaller juvenile size bichirs around 3-5” temporarily.

Gotcha. If I built a custom tank size, what dimensions do you think would be best for 5 adult bichir? If they were the senegalus or marbled variety (I.e. smaller full sized adults). No other tankmates.
