I have an empty 50 gallon and my Mom really love angels, I already kept angels but I wanna make sure if what I'm doing is right :D
My plan is to make an Amazon biotope tank with no plants just driftwood and black gravel(personally I want sand but my Mom wants me to use what we already have )
Here is my stocking list:
6 angels
What else can I keep with them??

Try a group of about 8 Serpae tetras, they look good over a dark substrate.

No in a group they don't bother them at all, I have them with mine.

Serpaes are known fin nippers. Not everyone is going to have the same experience. I'd go with rummynose tetras. They are large enough to not be fish food and school very nicely in an angelfish tank.

Serpae may go after veils. Standard fin angels usually have better luck in the fin department. Also, if you keep the tetras in large enough groups they should only nip/chase each other and leave tankmates alone (in theory).

I have ~25 in a 225 and have never had an issue, over two years now in this tank. A large group in a large tank. IME a group of 8 or more only interact with each other less could be and issue. I also have wild angles which are fairly aggressive so the tetras keep to a fairly tight schoal most of the time.
