I recently picked up a barrel with a plastic insert. The insert holds 50 gallons, it's 22" wide and 30" tall. I am going to put 3-4 fancy Goldfish in it and it will be heated in the winter. I am looking for plants that will grow in this, preferably sticking out of the water. There is only about 4 hours of light every day. Any help would be appreciated.

All the sedges will take shade.
Lizard Tail (Saururus cernuus) and Arow Arrum will take a lot of shade
Pickerel Weed (Pontederia) and Marsh Marigold (Caltha palustris) will tolerate decent shade, but won't flower as good if not given more sun than shade.
