Hi I need to make a stand for my tank but not sure what to use and how to tell if it will be strong enough thanks

If it was me building it I would use a 2x6 and trace the outline of the tank into it then cut it out with a jigsaw then support the bottom of that piece with a few studs that lined up perpendicular to it. And I would cover it with wainescoat.
