500 gal hydroponic system [load warning]

Hello I just thought I'd start a thread here.

I am doing the blog thing but maybe some can chime in with some suggestions.

My tank is a 500 gals. It is a split level, multi tank single filter system. I have 250 on the bottom section and 250 on the top section.

The bottom section is heavily planted with added CO2 and ferts. The top section is moderately planted (I would like more but the fish keep eating them).

I acquired it in Oct 09 and the leak test in Dec 09. Since then to this date I work on it for about an hour daily and it is (in my opinion) fish ready.

Thank you!! what sucks is that it is 12 feet long... if I want to enter it into a "rate my tank" ot "tank of the month" competition, I have to take a shot from outside my house! There is no way I can be in the same room and get an FTS
