I can at last join the ranks of the monster fish keepers!
Erm, Monster Aquarium Owners! No fish for this one yet.
This year my husband just finished building my 125gal metal framed aquarium. We picked it up cheap - an old labtank from a local university - and spent hours grinding off the old paint, building a frame, setting it up and stocking it.
But last night... we moved in the new tank. A gift from a friend who works in film production. This -beast- is amazing.
Metal framed, once again. And from rough count (it's in a friend's backyard still) 6'long 5.5' tall and 3' deep. 5/8" glass. So, if I'm counting right, thats over 650 gallons. Now. It may be 5.5' long. But still, I think I'm now in Monster realms.
Now - I get to spend the next few months plotting stock.
Right off the bat - 550gal, what would you stock?
(pictures soon... when it stops raining)

That's one seriously tall tank! I'm curious to see pictures of this beast.
