Hey all, I believe I know the answer to this but I want to see what everyone thinks...I just put the 500 gallon acrylic down onto an inch thick foam board and solid 2x4/cinder block stand underneath...here's the potential problem. Before setting the tank down I sprayed spray glue underneath the foam board to the stand and when setting the tank down, it moved the foam board a bit...and now makes the tank hang over the 2x4 part of the stand a little over a 1/4 of an inch...see the picture... Question is, is this safe as is, or should I bite the bullet and just lift the tank, scrape the foam board up, apply a new one without glue this time lol and re set? Thank everyone!

I don't think it is really going to be an issue...but if it were my tank, I'd reposition it because it would drive me nuts obsessing over it. Might be a hassle to redo it, but I'd be able to sleep better at night.

I'd be more concerned with the way the corner of the tank is supported. It looks like its just propped up by some wood. Your talking almost 2 tons of water. I'd make sure that stand is solid.

Also see what others have used as far as foam under tank. I have only used 1/2" on my tanks. Is 1" ok? It's only there to make up for small imperfections on stand and help with leveling.

Without seeing a pic that shows the stand all the way to the floor.... You could maybe just add a piece of plywood that extends all the way to the floor. This would make you flush with the tank, supported to the floor and finish the side to hide the cinder blocks if you were going to finish off the stand somehow.

Guys the scrap wood is just temporary in the corner till I split the cinder blocks in half...I have cinder blocks all the way around...its very sturdy trust me ...I think I will lift it n put a new piece down

That little overhang isnt going to cause problems with the tank. do what you want just based on looks.
