It all started back in April when we found the 10ftlong 3ft wide 30inch tall acrylic tank on Craigslist. It was in rough shape but after some buffing it looked pretty nice. About a month later the DIY stand was done. I had some guys over and we got the tank onto the stand. I filled it with water and there were no leaks. Next came some trial and error with sealing the 45 gallon sump and conecting the FX5 to the uv. (getting the xp4 going was easy) Some minor leaks but nothing big. After getting everthing going, without leaks i added the gravel(Jet Black!). Everything has been going great since then and tank has been cycling for about two weeks(using some tricks to speed the process up) and its ALMOST READY FOR FISH.

Soon the ill have put the doors on the stand and the Conepy is almost done! And ill udate with those pix!

I looking forward to what you guys think of my project!:grinno:

Great find. I wish I could accommodate a 10ft tank, but I'm stuck at 8ft based on the wall I'm putting it in. Stupid support poles :(

Gotta love craigslist, looks good, as soon as I get my basement finished I hope I can find a deal like this.

Very very nice!!! Have you considered painting the back flat black?
