hi everyone, im setting up a 10 by 32 by 30 , but need some help.

im keeping exotics , arowanas , rays etc etc and would like to know what the best substrate should i use.

i really like sand but what is best ? perhaps black ?

please get back to me and if you can post up some photos

keep it real MFK'S :D

Sand. And make sure you wash it really well. I used play sand but i wouldn't recommend it. Yes it's dirt cheap but a total pita

If you have the money, a big tank with tahitian moon sand would look sick

Lapis Lustre sand is the best IMO.. Here is a pic of the sand, now lets see a pic of this tank! I'm jealous!

i found out i love my black tahitian moon sand..i have it on all my tanks, they also have black sand called black beauty..like .99/lbs but they grade is inconsistent and some has sharper edge so its not cool for true buttom dwellers like rays

yeh black beauty is really good, it makes the fish stand out alot more , but i think im going with the black base and trying it out for a bit and untill i change my mind i think i will be going with black sand since the tank is all black . cheers bro
