500 gallon pond stocking ideas...

I'm going to build a 500 gallon pond using pond liner, and some kind of cheap pump. I'm going to stock it with 1-2 channel catfish already. I'm thinking of stocking it with some other native fish...but not many...as I'm going to have weak filtration. Maybe some cattails too though. Any thoughts?

What are the dimensions? I think gar, bowfin and bass would be pretty cool. Or if you like color, get some large sunfish.

To my knowledge ripsaws arent native to the US.

well if you get a snakehead, kill it....if you catch a aro, your extremely lucky

you might not want to hear this, but a pond with weak filtration will probably be full with 2 channel cats. Remember they get over 3' in length.
