I have a 230 gallon with peacock bass in it now, but am planning for the upgrade tank. I am thinking of a 500 gallon and wanted input on what the best filtration would be. The tank would be 84X48X30 going between two rooms. Thanks
Go with a sump. A properly designed sump will give you all the biological and mechanical filtration you need. If the tank is room divider, overflow box placement on one side or the middle of the tank will give you the best esthetics where all the plumbing is hidden in the overflow box and canopy. These pictures were taken from Midwest Custom Aquarium's gallery.
Yeah the 230 might go to the Jardini, he was going to be with the bass but isn't growing fast enough. The Teminsis already swallowed him once, so we separated them. I will either build or try and find a company that builds large sumps. Thanks
