500 watt heater/ media for fx5 SOCAL pickup

want to buy 500 watt heater. ebay has them for $35 with $11 shipping so under $40 preferred. may buy 2 if both will be under $70.

also need to start changing media in my fx5. anyone know where i can get sponges, carbon, carbon media bags, etc....for cheap?
