End of the year update... feeding the beasts.

Not the best quality vid due to the sunshine in the room. Also nothing new in the tank. :P

Those gars are looking good!

Is that longnose gar that you got from me last year getting close to the size needed to go in there yet?

Thanks Ryan. I'm not sure if that longnose has even grown an inch. He seems to be one of those LNG that don't grow in captivity. He's still in my 150. I am still on the prowl for a big one to finish off this tanks stock.

Monster! Love the music too. Fits very well

Hey John... thanks! The band is Einherjer, from Norway.

thats really cool

Awesome stock and tank

Much appreciated!

Huh, that's weird. Have you tried varying the water temperatures for the different seasons? I'm still hoping to find some bigger ones this summer since I didn't have any luck last summer.

I haven't shifted the water seasonally but I did bump it up when I added my big eel to the tank since it is from India. Otherwise the tank is pretty steady.

Very nice stock and.setup mate, whats the average size of the gars and what are the dims of the tank?

The tank is 8' x 4' x 25" and I'd say the average gar in the tank is 16-20" with some of the larger ones over 24".

Ah, okay. I was able to break my alligator gars out of their so-called "bonsai" mode by having the temperatures vary by a few degrees (both +/-) every few weeks, so such a change might work in your case, too.
