Got tired of only sticks and rocks, and planted my 50g Mexican cichlid grow-out tank, using trimmed plants from the 45g high-tech planted which lives at my parents' house. That tank is thick with plants, runs c02 + ferts, and is not trimmed often, so there were plenty to spare. Keeping this simple, low tech, and cichlid-proof, I only took easy, thick-leaved plants.
