50G - Tiger Oscar

new setup
inhabitant: 6" Tiger Oscar named Epimetheus, his fins are a little damaged from fighting with my Texas (nasty little bugger, beautiful though)

heater and filter are temporary, thinking of getting 1 or 2 Whisper 60 filters (will this filter fit on one side of a 50G? each side is about 16" where the filter can go) and a 200w or 250w stealth heater

what do you guys think?

get 2 aqua clear 50 or 70.. they are not wide but do a very good job.. the 50 will fit on the sides and the 70 should to..

i have an aquaclear 110/500 on another tank but it seems kind of fragile although very powerful, the cover cracked and the corner chipped off during shipping ( i crazy-glued it back together hehehe) then the little nub that pushes on the back of the tank broke off so i have a sponge in between the tank and filter now, i trust whisper because i have a 20 year old whisper20/c that is still running fine and in perfect condition

aqua clears are fragile.. i was sent 2 aqua clear 70's one was busted so they sent me another busted one yes i said busted. so they sent me another one but they inspected this one before just tossing it to ups.. it arrived fine and for the troubles they told me to keep all the other stuff. so i have everything to make 2 aqua clear 70's but both cases and one motor is broke.. motor may work but the case is broke.
