50mm cast acrylic

I have a chance to get my hands on 2x Cast 50mm acrylic sheets 2000x1200mm for £800

I am thinking of having a 14x 4 1/2 (4 viewing pane) fibreglass / Wood tank will 50mm be sufficent for this height?

That's some thick acrylic.

Would two inch thick cast crylic planel be thick enought to hold back five to eight feet of water?

I'm thinking about ckecking the prices for some of these giant thick sheets for my dream cement tank idea.
