55, 55 gal. stocking

well i am looking to restock my 55, i dont want two big of fish, but i want some color and a personaility, i will have odessa barbs in the tank as well as dario loaches, any ideas or combinations are very wellcome, i would love to have 2-3 cichlids

but im looking for about 2 to 3 so no singles, could i put 3 firemouths in there, what if they breed, what about a firemouth and a salvini

A cockatoo dwarf would be awsome. YOu can form a harem with one male and 3+ females. Dont put a jack dempsey with barbs and loaches though: Bad idea
