do i have a nice filter set up

600gph powerhead
marineland 280gph
and 20 gallon internal filter.

Looks fine. I ran a single AC70 on mine for months, and it was just fine. Now it has an AC110, AC70, and a Hydro V sponge. ^^ I've seen a 55g that just had about 9 of those 10g-rated Internal filters, and when the water was tested, it was perfectly fine (Nirates were at 6ppm when water-change day came around)

But your setup looks perfectly fine, but if you want to upgrade, do it. Since, as always, more is better.

It's a decent set up. A great setup would be a Eheim canister or some type of Eheim Ecco with a Emp 280, but your all good IMO. I see you have a whisper internal. I had that filter and I absolutely HATED it. I thought it didn't filter a damn thing and it would constantly over flow because the way it was designed it wouldn't push the water through the mesh bags. Each to their own i guess.

I have a 55 that's run entirly by a pair of Hydro 5's and another that has an emporer 400 plus a 280 and a single hydro 5. It all depends what you have in the tank.

Is the pike the only fish you are keeping in the tank? Check your water params, that will tell you if the filtering you have is adiquate.

Depends what your keeping. Numurous cichlids would give the tank a l;arge bio-load. Yet small tetras would prove very little making your filter set-up just fine.
