Finally got the crushed coral replaced with sand! Right now I have a single Rafael cat in here that's just a little over an inch long. He pretty much stays in hiding. Bought a new air pump for my sponge filter (my air pump went out a few days ago) but still need to hook it up. Also had to get out my spare filter because one of the ones on my tank went out.
Need new tops and bulbs as well.
One light won't turn on and the other won't turn off :/ (i unplug it at night)
But so far, I'm happy with the current results!

Thank you to everybody on here who has given me advice, and to future advice givers. :)

I do see one problem with that tank... Not enough fish. I think African Cichlids would look good in there,

yea, that's raphaels for ya....I got 7 or so and they are always hiding. Some fish just don't do much and I've had catfish that are SUPER-active, and catfish that pretty much just hide unless there's food

I wanted a synodontis lace cat, but had issues finding one in my area. This guy, however, was too cute to pass up.
Maybe I'll still get a lace cat, but I'll have to wait now so I can set up a quarantine tank.

yea I love raphaels, even if you don't get to see them, they are armored like crazy and can be kept with anything that can't swallow them and they will clean up all the leftover food in the tank. I have bottom-feeders for multiple reasons, but if you want active ones that you can observe, stick with Corys, Synodontis, Hoplos, Pimelodus, Tinfoils, etc
