As you can see i've got that going on!!!! the tank is 48" * 12" * 18" i read lot of threads here but i still need confirmations and advice from everyone.

1) what kind of bulbs am i suppose to use?
2) most economical substrate for a heavily planted tank? (I'm a college student ,that's my secret i'm always broke)
3) what kinda filter is the best for this sort of set up
4) any great places to order plants online? if so should i get bundles or buy few?
5) recommendations on fertilizers

Hope you guys having a good time, peace!

Plants...I buy from other hobbyiests online. However, I like to plan out what plants I want, that way I know what I'm looking for instead of just throwing things together sporadically.

Aquabid can have decent plants from time to time, and eventually I'll be selling plants that I have.

THank you everyone! any ideas on lightning? i understand that i need atleast 110 PAR, and i have 2 bulb fixture! T5 help pweez

Just get bulbs between the spectrum of 5000k and 10000k, all it really affects is how we see the tank, the plants will grow regardless.
