55 gal ca/sa mini cichlids lol ?

I want to start all over with my 55 gal and put a couple of cichlids but i want a peaceful community. So far this is what i had in mind;
rainbow cichlid
sajica cichlid
some dither fish
maybe some corys?

This sounds like a great tank to me. Rainbows are awesome and very peaceful, from what I have read they do very well with dithers. Smaller schooling fish make them feel more comfortable. However if the dithers are too small they may get eaten. I heard that giant danios are good but I personally am thinking about going with a CA/SA dither for mine.

I no nothing about sajica cichlids so I have no comment on that. It does sound like a great tank so good luck!

If you do get a convict get a male. Also if you are not doing pairs get all males.

Full grown adult sajicas would be awesome as a "centerpiece" type of fish if you get a pair. Add some dithers like bloodfin tetras and cories and that would be awesome. I have had 3 sajicas for probably 6 months and those suckers are still less than 3". Get some adults and you would be set. If you really want rainbows, they would be fine in there too. you may just need larger dithers with them.

The orginal list sounds good, although I'd add something like a smaller species of acara before a convict to the mix in order to avoid aggression between the con and sajica

+1 I think over all the original list is perfect. I think that your tank will be pretty peaceful and adding any convicts is just going to bring the aggression level up.

thanks for the opinions guys but im done with convicts lol. yea i was thinking of an all male tank bc i want nice colors. some corys roaming around at the bottom sounds good and some tetras would be nice too some fast tetras . i will start posting pics when i get rid of current stock
