55-gal metal stand.....

I was just wondering if a standard metal stand for a 55 gallon can hold another 55-gallon tank below??? or is the metal not strong enough or is there limited space???

Yes and No. It is built to be able to hold 2, but IMO they can't hold one.

well my metal stand has held up beautifully with my 55 on top, and i know the guy that had it before me had the 55 on top with a lot more weight cause he had a SW tank, and he also had a 29 gallon on the bottom.

i'm sure it'll hold 2 55's without a problem.

Weight of 2 55g including glass, water, decor, etc. is about 1100 pounds. Divided by 4 puts about 275pounds in your 6sq inch area. I really dought that will puncture the floor.

Yeah, 275 pounds is pretty much like 4 fat blokes standing close to eachother, the floor WILL hold.

i would like to see a picture of 2 55 on the metal stand, because i just cant seem to get one on the bottom of my stand. i keep trying but i cant seem to do it
