its much cleaner at a later point just no pics sorry :( upload soon lost my cable

Take the pump apart and see if the impeller is jammed somewhere. Often the case with mine :)

If collected from gutters it probably has algae in it already that proliferated and filled the tank, RO is said to help

Is that filter meant to be submersible? It looks like it is meant to be hung on the back of the tank and not in the tank.

I can't tell if its submersed or not but I have one of those it's it's definitely a HOB not meant to be fully submerged.

dose not have a long enough um tube so its standing on something :p its an HOB
also not wide enough to sit on the back

it sounds like the pump is working but is not pumping the water threw i dunno why?
also the water is just collected rain water from a barrel its all algae

If the pump's underwater it WON'T work at all. You need to fill it more and hang it over the side

why not tap water?

yea i was thinking the same with filling it to the top and running it again... last night it would not even kick on...as for the water my tap is like 512ppm i dont really want to use it but after waking up today the filter looks like its not going to clear up much more so i might drain a lot out and go get lil more rodi and fill it i wanted a lil algae so it will have some kind of bacteria so my gold fish could go in sometime today and not have to wait for a cycle

algae won't cycle your tank!

go read on how the nitrogen cycle works before adding any fish. what filter does the goldfish tank have outside?
