55 gal tank gift from.....

My family gave me a 55 gallon tank because during out 'blizzard' they lost power for 5 days and in the end of it all there fish died. They emptied it and gave it to me but it has alot of calcium i gess that is what it is on the filter and glass. What should i use to clean this up was going to use dish soap then rinse it off over and over but figured i should ask quick first. Thanks ahead of time

Dish soap would not be a good idea since it will be hard to rinse and will not remove the calcium deposits. Just use vinegar and water, rinse and fill.

Agree ^ do not use soap of any kind.

Thanks guys i did use vinegar and it pulled off what ever it was calcium or the like with no trouble. going to do some leak testing and such here soon then going to see what i can work out in DIY custom scenery and such. again thanks
