Ive got an overstocked 55 gallon pond. and im thinking about putting the fishes into the pond to give them more space
http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n454 ... 6-1715.jpg tahts what the pond looks like, afterwards i plan on selling the 55 gallon with everything (stand, gravel, top, filter) and use that money to hepl me buy a 120 gallon.
My question is there any precautions in need to make. Or preparations.

Fishes are
13 inch tiger oscar
7 inch featherfin squeaker
5 inch convict cichlid
4 inch telapia
11 inch pleco.
pond thingy measurements
http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n454 ... 6-1715.jpg
24 inches across
16 inches tall, then it starts to curve into the upper part
overall its 33 inches tall(measurment doesnt seem right here but whatever)
and on the top its 40 inches long (measured from end to end)
20-22 inches till it starts to curve to the ends
25-26 inches wide then it starts to curve
Also what kind of sealant or coating should i use. and im not an expert but it looks like fiiber glass to me.

you can buy a stock tank, they won't cost a lot! look at your local tractor supply stores or stock tanks stores to find one. I think you need at least a 200G, and cook the tilapia, it is illegal to keep tillapia in TX!
this site have free shipping for stock tank: http://polytanksforsale.com/poly_stock_tanks?b=1

thanks but its gonna be used temporarily, i plan on selling the 55 gallon. and use part of that money to get a 120 gallon.but you know i cant be working on selling something that icant sell, which is why im putting them in the pond thing.but before i do that i wanna get some advice on any safety measures i should take.
oh and are there any sealants or coatings i can get at home depot or lowes

Lol, that pond would be so much better if it didn't have the hump or whatever...it just looks stupid and I'm sure the fish won't like it very much and will be unhappy. Doesn't even seem like its much space for them to swim in if you think about it (but I could be wrong...looks small in the pics)...just my opinion though, I wouldn't do it...plus how are you going to cover it? keep it heated? keep it aerated so the fish have enough oxygen (bubblers, powerheads, etc).

that pond is terribly shaped and should not support these large fish... my opinion again is spend ten bucks and get a kiddy pool..
