my 55 is a bit cloudy it has been like this for 4 days it was crystal clear at first i dont know what happened
the stock in the tank is
2 rtc - 3inches
2 oscar 3 inches
i sengal bichir 7 inches
the tank is only temporarily for the oscars and rtc i dont know how to fix cloudy water any opinions
my filters are a canister filter and a suction filter help me guys :(

If the tank is newly set up I wouldn't worry too much, dealing with the same thing myself. Finally filled my 40 breeder and never washed the black fluorite sand when I hard scared it. I've got cloudy dust and driftwood tannins. It's gotten better in the last week, so hang in there!

Edit: just realized the OP said water was clear to begin with... If it's a new tank it probably still is caused by things settling and being moved around and stirred up...

It's potentially a bacterial bloom, but without knowledge of your recent feeding and cleaning regime, I'm somewhat guessing. Bacterial blooms can easily occur in mature tanks and will not clear up until the underlying cause is corrected.

There are of course other possible causes, for example an algal bloom. Are you using plant lights or do you have direct sunlight? Has the intensity or amount of lighting changed? What are your nitrate readings?

Again, just throwing out a couple ideas.

How new is your filter media?
