I plan to maybe move my single 7"+ Green Terror to my 55 gallon tank but I know he's extremely shy and will be probably be hiding if kept alone in the tank.

Just wanted people's inputs on what type of Dithers to used. I was originally planning to use Giant Danio's since I know that they don't get too big (more room for the GT) however, I feel like my GT w/ eventually end up eating the Danio's in the confined space of the 55gal. Does anybody have any recommendation (maybe from experience?) on other Dither's and how many I should keep in the tank...I'm trying to give as much space to the GT. I wanted about 5 Silver Dollars but I feel they will eventually be too big.

FYI...I know 55 gallon is small for a 6"+ GT but have to do it for now.

Gt will be fine in that 55 for life, don't worry. My gt is a glassbanger, but is housed with other cichlids. The danios should be able to keep away from the gt, just get them big enough so he can't eat them right away. Another option is Buenas Aires tetras. About the same size, but a little thicker bodied and I think that they look better.

Sweet...Thanks for the inputs. I was also looking at the BA tetras but didn't know how big they got. Do you feel its crucial that I hiding places for the dithers?

I thought dithers were just to get breeding pair to bond and not kill each other and a big school of danios would be good. and my gt isnt quite a glass banger but he is mean.
