ok i am wanting to know the filration systems would work best in my tank setup. I am looking to have a bit more filtration than needed so i will list off my fish so you guys can help me decide the best for my fish.

20 rosy tetras
10 silver hatchets
20 black phantom tetras
3 pictus cats
1 vampire pleco(will be moved when big enough)
1 clown pleco
1 black ghost knife(this is his grow-out tank)
2 bolivian rams
6 bumble bee cats

p.s i already have an emporer 400 working right now

thanks

i am only 13 so i don't make much. but i have been saving up to get more equiptment for my tanks so i can spend about $400 on this tanks filtration.

thanks

Save your money and get a new tank set up. The Emp 400 is plenty of filtration for a 55 with those fish in it.

Hey buddy just be careful with that black ghost knife as they grow huge and many consume your smaller fish...Good luck bud

thanks guys i'll just get another emp. 400. Then i'll probably spend the rest on a new tank:nilly:

Second that motion. You are really overstocking that tank. Once those fish reach adult size you'll need something in the order of 150-200 gallons to support that community unless you want to do large water changes every couple of days.
