Hello All!

I'm getting ready to fill my 55 gallon hex and need some suggestions from the experts on a light. The tank will be used for fresh water with some small plants and some community fish. I have an Eheim 2217 for filtration (not sure if it matters but figured I'd throw it in)..:nilly:

I'm worried that the 24" t5 ho lights wont be bright enough for plants and wont light the bottom of the tank. The tank is 25" deep and 25" from flat edge to flat edge, heres a quick image of the dimensions of the tank.

I should point out that the diagram is a bird eye view, looking down on the top of the tank. The 24 x 7-1/4 dimensions are what I think would be the largest fixture that would fit without hanging over the edge.

Any light fixture / bulb suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
