55 gallon idea?

Once i get a large tank and move out all the residents in my 55 gallon tank, i was thinking about either getting a black rhom to house until i got to the 10" or so mark and then selling it (easily done with how popular they are at that size) or going with about 3 sanchezi....although i know there is a stereotype about piranha's i really like the look and the fear they strike in peoples minds

either that or else i think i might just get something hyper agressive that'll work in a 55.

the rhom idea might work, im sure you already know this, but they grow soooo slow so yud keep him awhile, i hiigghly dought sanchezis would work in a 55, i have heard of them being kept together in much bigger tanks, this is just my opinion tho ill let a more expirienced person correct my

ok i'll look for the rhom, and yes i know they grow incredibly slow, thats why i considered it, i mean buy a little 'un for $15, keep him in there for about 5 years, sell him for $150....sounds like a good deal to me lol.

oh and although u just raped my thread cichlidcraze, that fish is a grass or redfin pickerel. its a member of the pike family, like a mini northern pike almost. they get to 8-12" and can live for life in either a 55 or 75 gallon aquarium.

if you want a mix serrasalmus species go with Serrasalmus gold spilo/Mac. they can be group with 3 in the 55gallon. they are slow grow and can be in the 55gallon for a long time.

I had my 9 6" in 300gallon.

Yes i told that person to group 3 Gold Spilo/Mac. it's possible. Gold Spilo/mac and Geryi have the only 2 serrasalmus species that can be group. however you need to have some good experience to keep them.

but don't mix serralsamus with pygo..they don't mix.
