55 gallon ideas

In a few months I’ll be moving my belly crawler pike to a 55. He’s about 7”. He’ll most likely take the bottom of one half of the tank for his territory. He gets along fine with fish that stay up in the water column and that stay out of his territory. His territory has always been pretty small and limited to about 4” from the bottom but he guards it aggressively He will eat anything that is less than half his size, so I’m considering another mid sized cichlid but any other ideas would be appreciated. I like oddball type fish

Those look cool if I could find one full size, the other challenge is gonna be that i don’t have a grow out tank anymore, so I need to buy something that is already at least 4-6”, depending on what.

I like the idea of the rainbows, I would probably go with the larger types since the BCP has a giant mouth
