I currently have a 55 gallon tank with a pair of severums and the lighting in the tank to me seems to be a bit dull and almost gives the water a yellowish tint. It doesn't seem to light up the whole tank. It's a standard 4 ft. fluorescent 34 watt bulb. Should I have a bulb with more wattage or a different type of bulb all together to brighten up the tank? I've heard "blue" lights are good for cichlids but I'm not even sure what that means lol. Just curious as to what your guys lighting is for a similar tank or if you have any recommendations/prices for me? Thanks!
