I'm currently building up my stock for a 55 gal mbuna tank. I'm looking for the most aggressive mbuna. any ideas? i currently have a electric blue, ps. elongatus, and a ps. lombardoi. I'm looking more for the darker color, but "fancy". Demasoni is probably the next on my list, but i dont want it being harassed by my elongatus... so yeah, ideas please...

yeah demasoni get both pombo rock demasoni and mozambique demasoni also flavus are nice

well that kenyi will be pretty mean probably. also, i think mel. auratus are pretty mean. i have a few albinos (They are supposed to be more docile then the mel. auratus that are black and yellow striped) and they hold their own against all the other fish in my 180 mixed mbuna. also a red zebra should do fine (or the OB variety-they are orange and black or i have 2 of the OB blueberry ones). zebras seem to be able to hold their own against bigger tankmates. but, if you get two they will more than likely fight.

+2 for auratus and +1 for the kenyi. They will beat up everything in the tank.LOL

your elongatus will most likely rip up a demasoni. I had to seperate the two in my tank, the kenyi's dont really get along with the dems either.

i have 3 demasoni and 3 kenyis in my 29 gallon and they fight like once a week but nothing major no fins riped off or anything ...

my kenyi get along with everyone, my male Red Empress is the king

I will try and get a pic of what my kenyi did to one of my demasoni. I thought it may have been the elongatus, but after watching, it was the kenyi.
