what cichlid should I go with in my 55 gallon I am thinking about a jaguar cichlid I would like to decorate to the tank I already have white and black rocks in it and a rena that will clean up to a 75 gallon fish tank. Could I put a pair in the tank or should I buy babies and raise them . How many could I have in the tank and do you think hikari gold would be the best. Do the jaguars cichlids like a feeder fish once in a while. I have Red devils in there but want to get rid of them. SORRY about the long writing but, thanks for reading:D

i think jags might be a little too big for 55 gal. but u can try

If it is a standard 55g 48"x12" then it will be to small for a full grown jag. But it will make a great growout tank.

:iagree:

Go with loiselleis. Yes I know some smart a**es are gonna come in now and say "but no they can reach the same sizes as jags blah blah blah :internet cop mode:" but honestly in home aquaria thats rare and the only one I've seen is terds I'm sure there are others but they're more than likely kept in larger tanks. If you're gonna do a pair though have that divider handy, in a 55G there's not much room to run/hide.
