1) The tank is more for my father, I'm just the one setting it up. Brichardi's are a must have, but more color/species would be ideal. What else will work well? suggestions for a stock list, I'm not fond of cramped tanks, but really have no idea what else to do other then a syno cat? I'm thinking tropheus would be nice? particulalry for their grazing tendancies to help keep algae to a minimum since the tank will get sun from a window? I'de also like to add a spiney eel ( one of the tang species like plagoisi sp?)
2) we're on a well, and have water that is out of the facuet 8.0 and the GH/KH are both off the charts. will this work?
3) I have a bunch of live rock that is now most deffinately dead rock... it's been sitting for years dry. Can I use this for rock structure, or am I going to have issues? I know their is likely internally dead stuff, which I was going to soak and clean it well but otherwise hopefully cycle the tank with it if it came down to it?
4) the tank is a standard 55 nothing crazy or special, I was going to use a emperor 400 to filter the tank, use rockwork, and a sand bottom with a few shells perhaps.
Any other suggestions or comments are appreciated.
